The Ebene brothers are prepare to leave for Ebera with the Phoenix Fighters when Nein has a small confrontation with Sic.  Accidentally angering her, she attacks but gets shoved downstairs into the lobby.  Enraged, she slaughters him in front of half of the terrified House.  Inigo, surprises everyone when he suddenly gets in the middle of the fray and orders Sic under arrest.  Unwilling to be taken into custody, Sic attacks Inigo.  The two fight for several minutes without anyone else moving, as they are too shocked to move. 

After some shouting from Adriana, a few of the Phoenix Fighters confront Sic and try to subdue her.  Jesse tries to calm her down through gentler means, however, she eludes all of them as though they were not even there.  Eventually the number of people attacking her becomes overwhelming and she is forced to flee into the rifts of time.

After she is gone, Inigo reveals that he is a time cop, and that he has suspected Sic of committing an incredibly high number of violent murders for some time.  He explains she fights by feeling the vibrations in the ground and feeling the air move around her.  She is quick to react and moves with great alacrity.  Sic is also completely merciless, judging from the murders Inigo was aware of.  With a painful moment of clarity, the Phoenix Fighters recall the Purist priestess Cressida and her warning about a murderer in their midst.

While the House copes with this new discovery, Inigo begins to travel time in search of Sic.  He eventually locates her and drags her into an arena.  He attempts to arrest her once again and she attacks him.  They both fight well for some time but as Sic moves in close for a blow, Inigo plants a special card with a gem on it on her forehead.  A device for time cops, it completely removes her time-traveling powers.  However Inigo mistakenly gives Sic paper, which she immediately transforms into a dagger and uses it to strike at this throat. 

Taking his small victory, the injured Inigo moves back to his own time to inform the Phoenix Fighters of what has taken place and to get some medical help.  Adriana informs everyone that Sic is no longer a threat to worry over, though Inigo is still unsure.  Unknown to the rest of the House, Joey is visited by Cressida.  It seems that the PTB and the Purists are both alarmed by Inigo's mysterious revelation.  Joey has been tasked with the responsibility of finding out who he works for and revealing them to everyone.
