The Fanel siblings, after performing the Spell of Three, determine that the next Ebene portal is going to hit a very heavily populated area in Teepring.  Sito is distressed, in addition, when he sees a man who resembles the leader of his childhood street gang, Greil, looking exactly as he did in the Guardians' timeline.  When the strike team goes to Teepring to evacuate, they find the man who is indeed Greil.  He has no memory of arrive in Shaldani, but Casey determines that the alley where he appeared is a magical hot spot where the Ebene barrier has been weakened.  Adriana and Aden suspect Krieg's hand in Greil's appearance and allow him to join the Phoenix Fighters in the hopes of learning Krieg's motives.

Meanwhile, Sic has managed to break the spell Inigo placed over her that prevented her from coming near Jesse.  Desperate to be with her husband again she immediately goes to the House.  She finds Jesse in the courtyard with Philip, Ariadne, and Inigo himself.  She takes no violent action at first, but when Jesse informs her he no longer wishes to be married to her she goes into a rage.  Convinced another woman has stolen his heart and that his lack of love is no fault of her own, Sic rushes off to find someone to exact revenge upon.

Once inside the house she comes upon Greil.  The first female Sic remembers from the House is Lex, and she immediately decides it is Lex who has taken Jesse away from her.  Sic attempts to force Greil to tell her where Lex is but when he refuses she hits him in his bad knee and leaves.  She finds Lex in the bar moments later, followed closely by Jesse.

Sic attacks Lex but is hindered by Inigo, who has just arrived and gotten a handcuff around one of her wrists.  She begins to fight with him but when Philip, Ariadne, and Jesse all join in coupled with her cuffed hand she is swiftly overpowered.  She begins to squirm free, but Ariadne screams and Sic promptly faints.

Everyone in the room is incredibly relieved to have her finally subdued.  Inigo quickly sends out a call and moments later Koray, a jailor in the time guard’s prison, arrives.  The two exchange some unkind words and are obviously not friendly with one another, but Koray eventually transports Sic away as Inigo asks.  The others are left slightly dazed but glad to have peace in the House again, at least for now.
