Identity Crisis

While testing out a new, magical, molecule-seperating fork, Valero causes a malfunction that splits him into his half-a-dozen alternate personalities, with no original Valero in sight. All over the House Valeros of different shapes and sizes interact with the Phoenix Fighters, much to their discomfort. Amrod, now clearly a muscly warrior, seeks out fights and suspects many of being enemies, even coming to the point of threats. A hyperactive child Val skitters around the House as Fedora, while Lifis enjoys more freedom to draw wherever he wants.

Meanwhile, as Tranns and Lucien are trying to solve the problems of their shattered relationship due to the miscarriage, an Ebene called Dexal infiltrates the House and, by threatening Lucien, forces Tranns to take Flash. By doing this, Dexal hopes to get Tranns addicted again and through that force her to become dependent on Klein, the supplier. Tranns ruins that plan by overdosing on purpose, despite Lucien's desperate attempts to stop her.  Flying high from the Flash, Tranns savagely kills Dexal without regret, then collapses into Lucien's arms.

Lucien takes her to Valero's clinic to be treated as blood falls from her eyes but because of the split the only available doctor is a sleepy, old Hyde, the personality that knows all the medical info. But with some knowledge split among the other alternate personalities, there is no way the doctor can treat Tranns. Understandably, those close to Tranns grow anxious and try to rally together all the different versions of Valero. When Amrod exerts strong protection over his group, the Phoenix Fighters have to change their plans.

In order to try to gain information on a way to put the Valero's back together, Amorette tries to coax some knowledge out of the womanizing Orix. This fails and he ends up using her for a bit of pleasure, walking off right after and not answering a single question. Understandibly, this upsets Amorette.  She goes to the office for comfort where Adriana promises to take care of her.

As a new approach, Aden tries to appeal to Amrod's sense of warrior nobility. Amrod sees a sick Tranns and a hurt Amorette, and bullies Orix into agreeing to merge back. While Trista watches from the staircase, Orix admits that their situation is not a good one, revealing that Hyde's age is steadily increasing, and they had to return to normal before he passes away.

Amrod informs the leaders of the House that they are ready to do the transformation. As the different personalities bunch up together, Orix hands Amorette a tweaked magical fork with instructions on how to use it. One magical transformation later, Valero is back to normal.  With Aden and Amorette anxiously watching, Valero attempts to clear the Flash out of Tranns' system.  Unfortunately, he's a moment too late and she goes into cardiac arrest.  Using a new technique, Valero manages to revive her and Tranns steadily recovers, however, she awakes listless, barely talking and showing no evidence of emotion.
