No Man's Land Part One

While transferring Philip's sword, Casey accidentally knocks over a case of chemicals in the kitchen.  The chemicals fall on the sword.  She leaves to get supplies to clean up the mess.  Lucien wanders in and picks up the sword.  Suddenly a spacial rip opens up beneath him.  Lucien falls through and finds himself in Hyrule, in the Gerudo Valley.  Nassan, passing by, spots him and takes the sword, thanking him for fetching it for her master.  Confusion sets in when Philip arrives.  Lucien is surprised when Philip doesn't recognize him and seems to be dressed in full Gerudo garb.  When he asks where Ariadne is, Philip and Nassan begin to suspect he is a spy.  Against Nassan's dire warnings, Philip agrees to bring Lucien to Ariadne.  Nassan, meanwhile, promises to deliver the sword to their master.

Philip and Lucien arrive in a Gerudo fortress where the former Guardians, minus Tranns, are being held prisoner.  Lucien realizes that he's in an alternate timeline of some kind and his worst fears are realized when he learns that in this world, Ewan replaced Tranns with the Guardians after she died, saving his life.  Because of Tranns' absense, the Guardians didn't make it to Shaldani but were taken prisoner by Ganondorf Dragmire and the Phoenix Fighters, as a result, didn't form in time to stop the Ebene who have conquered the realm and placed Ganondorf in command as a puppet king.  Dragmire ensures Philip's cooperation in the new order by using his friends as hostages.

All the Guardians, except for Ariadne, hate and resent Ewan for what happened with Tranns, but Lucien strikes up a conversation with him, beginning with Tranns and her heroic death.  They agree that Lucien's timeline ought to be restored because, despite all the hardships of the Phoenix Fighters, it's a better situation all around.  Getting Philip's sword back from Ganondorf will prove difficult, but it's the best way they can think of to send Lucien home.  The hostages gather together and agree on a plan of action.  Since Ganondorf has the sword, they agree that he must be lured to the prison himself.

They devise a plan to keep Philip from leaving the next time he visits, unaware that Philip is still in the compound, spending time with Ariadne.  The idea is to pretend to hold Philip hostage to get Ganondorf to personally come and retrieve him.  They are all resolved to die as long as Adriana can manage to help Lucien escape with the sword and find a way to send him home.

Things get complicated when Philip and Ariadne happen upon the meeting.  Guessing at the nature of Philip's visit, Ewan, who has fallen in love with Ariadne, is crushed.  He rushes to knock Philip unconscious and a surprised Ariadne screams.  Her cries summon forth the guards who witness the aggression.  Aden tries to take control of the situation.  He announces that the hostages have declared war on the Gerudo nation.  If Ganondorf Dragmire does not personally hear their demands, Philip will be the first casualty.  The guards rush off to inform their master while the others tie up Philip.
